Born in 2002 to a family of pianists in Kyiv, Ukraine, Alexander was surrounded by music from an early age, entered the Kyiv Lysenko School of Music, the country’s leading music school. After graduating with honors he was accepted to the Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music (formerly Kyiv P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory) in the class of Tetiana Roshchyna, graduating in 2023. During his school and conservatory years, Alexander was always recognized for his unique touch, piano sound and hearing. Alexander’s mother, the brilliant pianist Maryna Savchenko, was and remains his main musical mentor throughout his life, continuing traditions of the great teachers of the Moscow Conservatory, such as Nikolai Zverev and Konstantin Igumnov.
In 2024 Alexander was accepted to Boston University and Longy School of Music awarded with a full scholarship. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree at Longy School of Music with Grammy-nominated pianist, Professor Andrius Žlabys. Participated in master classes of such renowned musicians as Irena Portenko, Milana Chernyavska, Bruno Monsaingeon, Asaf Zohar. Alexander’s repertoire includes significant part of music from the Baroque to the mid-20th century, occasionally focusing in depth on specific composers such as Ravel, Prokofiev, Bach and others.
In addition to music, he also pursues a hobby, which over time has grown into a second full-fledged profession: together with his father, Alexander built classical music-focused filming and recording labels “Lukas Earth Productions” and “L.E. Classics” with the ability to record classical music at the highest level. Recorded and filmed many outstanding Ukrainian performers together with such world-famous musicians as Joshua Bell, Theodore Kuchar, Gautier Capuçon, etc., retaining the distinctive directing methods of Mr. Monsaingeon. Now, already in the US, he continues to do this and helps other musicians around Boston record professionally.
